Piccionaia is one of the larger apartments within Casa Villa. There is 1 double (or twin) bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, twin beds on a mezzanine floor, 2 bathrooms with showers, a large fully equipped kitchen and lounge.
The villa is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, air conditioning, electric or microwave oven, safe, hair dryer, SAT TV, and a small garden area with table and chairs.
For the apartments and houses on the Torre a Cona estate, they have the use of a new panoramic swimming pool, which is open from the beginning of April until the end of October.
The estate also boasts a new restaurant, Osteria Torre a Cona, which serves traditional Tuscan food prepared with seasonal, local ingredients. It is possible to have a buffet breakfast or dinner each day.
The nearest village, San Donata in Collina, is 1km away and the tennis club an easy 15 minute drive. The journey to Florence takes 20-30 minutes by car and 40-45 minutes by the local bus service.
The estate owners would be delighted to give you a guided tour of the wine producing process at the Fattoria at Torre a Cona. Typical of vineyards in the Chianti area, it boasts an excellent red wine. The estate also has extensive olive groves from which a very high quality extra virgin oil is produced.
