San Vito lo Capo is a charming coastal town, a 45 minute drive from Trapani, with a fabulous beach. One end of the beach has a high pointed limestone cliff topped with a large cross, beside which there is a log book for climbers to record their adventures.
It is home to many small eateries, the most well-known is the historical Cafe Europa, famous for its specialty, the Panini con Panelle
San Vito is near the Zingaro Nature Reserve and the hamlet of Scopello, where some scenes from the movie Ocean's Twelve were filmed in 2004.
