The 48th Season of Classic Performances in the Greek Theatre - 11th May to 30th June 2012
Syracuse's most impressive example of Greek architecture is its amphitheatre, across the road from the tennis club. It is still used as a theatre today. In May and June it plays host to a number of Greek tragedies.

The Birds by Aristophanes
The Athenians Pithetaerus and Euelpides decide to take up residence in the free world of the birds and to build Cloud-cukoo-land.....
