Florence, Tuscany

The Renaissance city of Florence is one of the most beautiful in Europe and is renowned for its art and architecture.

Home to Michelangelo's David and the centre of art for other artists and writers including Dante, Donatello and Botticelli. Today its cobbled streets and spacious piazzas are thriving with colourful cafes, small family stores alongside major international designer boutiques and the sound of Italians and travellers alike, soaking up the culture and atmosphere.

The Uffizi is the place to visit to see some spectacular works of art. It is said that over 60% of the world's art is in Italy and over 50% of that is in Florence. During the summer, the streets are full of musicians, dancers and theatre performers - all entertaining and adding vibrancy to the city.

From March to October you can enjoy a warm climate and the freedom to explore this wonderful city.

Florence Tennis School

We are delighted to say our tennis venue, located just 9km south of Florence has proved to be extremely popular. This prestigious club is home to the Florence Tennis School, an academy with Europe-wide repuation for training the best young players, while maintaining a club feel.

As with our centre in Lucca, TTH has secured exclusive access to this private member's club. Facilities include 16 tennis courts (11 clay), swimming pool (open mid June to mid Sept) and snack bar, bar/restaurant, gym, Turkish bath and two five-a-side football pitches.

The club's extensive grounds set within the magnificent countryside, offer an ideal place to relax after tennis. However, the attractions of Florence and beyond will be hard to resist. Architecturally stunning and world-renowned as a centre for the arts, Florence is just 20 minutes away by car. Siena, host to the Palio horse race is a leisurely hour's drive away through the beautiful Chianti region and other towns within easy reach are San Gimignano, Volterra, and Arezzo.

Alternative sporting diversions include golf and horse riding.

Coaching Philosophy

Everyone is treated as an individual, with an effort to find solutions suited to their game style, age, aspiration and ability level.

We do not teach shots in exactly the same way to everyone. Just look at the best players in the world to see the variety of styles.

What is important to us is that you are playing in a manner which is mechanically efficient so as not to cause injuries, as an improvement in mechanics will ultimately benefit a player's game.
